Upcoming Courses 2024
Juniors
The learn to row course is a fun way to gain basic rowing skills and is open to those aged 11-18 years old. Â All participants must be able to swim a minimum of 50m competently.
Attending a learn to row course does not guarantee entry to the junior squad. Coaches may offer membership to those that meet their selection criteria. Whilst athletes aged 11 to 13 can attend the course, the age for entry to the club has changed. Athletes wishing to go on and join the junior squad must be Year 9 or above at secondary school. We will not be able to make any exceptions to this rule. Â
All of our coaches are CRB checked and British Rowing qualified.
The total cost for the course in 2024 is £295.

This course will work on your fitness and teach you the core rowing technique. Sessions will take place both on land and the river.
The courses run during the Summer and will prepare you to hit the ground running at the start of the main rowing season in September. We'll give you the skills and fitness to row competitively, with the aim to move you into our intermediate and senior squads in your second season. There's no obligation to sign up as a member after this course, but we hope you'll have enjoyed your time with us that you'll be keen to join our beginners squad in September.
Â
You will need to be able to swim competently - at least 50m in light clothing. |

"I have truly enjoyed the course and cannot explain how beneficial it has been to break the crazy work routine I am usually in. Everybody, both Coaches and Learners, were lovely and for 2 hours a week I didn't think of anything but enjoying and learning" KP
"From beginning to end we were very professionally coached 'from zero to hero' resulting in a huge sense of self and group accomplishment. Crystal clear instruction from highly personable coaches saw confidence levels soaring in just a few days. Layer on top of that some excellent banter and a liberal dose of competitive spirit and you have all the ingredients for a fantastic week's learning. In short, you exceeded all expectations to create something rather special during these unusual times." JG
