We had two crews racing at the Schools' Head on Monday afternoon. After two 2nd places last year, we were desperate to come away this year with a pink pennant. Sure enough the pink pennant was delivered by our WJ16 4+, who not only won their category, but also set a new course record in the process. After a few hair raising near misses in our brand new boat, the crew swept through their opposition picking up KRC's first pennant since 2011, where our WJ16 8+ similarly took the course record. This course record was impressively beaten on Monday.
Our J18 4+ had a rough ride up to the race, with injury of one of their key member hampering their preparation. Coming in 6th position, the boys will be looking now to build and improve upon these results, in order to retain their fantastic result at the National Schools Regatta in May,
