It is with great sadness that I must pass on the news that one of our members, Paul Dare, passed away on October 8th 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Paul Dare was a member of Kingston Rowing Club since the 1970s and was often seen sculling our waters in his pale blue single, with his crafty mirrors attached to his head band (pictured above) allowing him to have eyes in the back of his head. For many years, Paul was an integral part of the financial management of the club, in his role as auditor. It goes without saying that the club has lost one of its dearest members and Paul will be greatly missed by all at KRC. His funeral will be held at Putney Vale Crematorium, Stag Lane, Putney SW15 3DZ at 4pm on Friday October 20th, followed by a gathering at the Barnes Wetlands Centre, Queen Elizabeth Walk, Barnes, London SW13 9WT from 5pm to 7pm.
